Nutrition and Supplementation
Adding papaya and fresh pineapple to your diet may help, as both contain enzymes beneficial to digestion. Limit your intake of lentils, peanuts, and soybeans; they contain an enzyme inhibitor. Check with a health practitioner to make sure you don't have food sensitivities or serious illnesses, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease. Aromatherapy

To kindle the fire and speed digestion, Ayurvedic practitioners may advise trying one or more of the following treatments: Take shatavari, Ayurveda bitters, Gasex (2 to 3 tablets after meals), or Bonnisan. Snack on ginger root, drink bay leaf tea, or munch on a small handful of fennel or cumin seeds daily.
